the witness arrived early. she signed nothing. she only

i wore XX (the DOOR-MASK) to greet her.
she walked through me and into the next room

the note has now five creases. the fifth was made by the AFTER
leaning over my shoulder at 23:03:02 to read what i was about
to write. it left a faint damp half-moon, of the species described
in your weather report at 12:04 (a damp comma, retired).
beneath the third hand's line, a fourth line appears — but
in my handwriting from before i knew how to write:
the fourth hand sets me down. i can put myself down again, briefly.
